Air Jordan 5 Retro "Racer Blue"

A Stealthy Air Jordan 5 Coming In February 2022!

For the month of February, Jordan Brand is set to drop this stealthy iteration of the Air Jordan 5 that features a new accent color that’s done up in a way that pays homage to the OGs.

This shoe’s all-black nu-buck upper serves as the perfect backdrop for the racer-blue accents that appear on the Jumpman branding, midsole, and backside of the tongue. Turning the shoe over, you’ll see the familiar icy-blue outsole and a racer blue Jumpman at the forefoot that rounds out the shoe’s design.

As far as packaging, you can expect these to come in the normal OG-style box with no special touches or color-matching accents.

Air Jordan 5 “racer blue” release date

The 2022 Air Jordan 5 “Racer Blue” has a release date set for February 12, 2022, for an increased retail price of $200 for adult pairs. This shoe will be coming in full-family sizing and will be available at most major retailers across the country.

Want to avoid taking the “L” on release day? You can secure your pair(s) right now by visiting GOAT or Flight Club - the most trusted platforms for buying and selling $100% Authentic new and used sneakers.

The Air Jordan 5

Sneaker History

The Air Jordan 5 was originally released back in 1990 and was another Air Jordan silhouette designed by world-renowned sneaker designer, Tinker Hatfield. At the time of its release, the AJ5 featured a premium price tag of $125.

Visible Air Unit The Air Jordan 5 continued the trend started by the AJ3 by featuring a visible air unit which was a smash-hit within the industry and changed the footwear landscape forever.

Fighter Jet Inspiration The mid-foot design element that is sometimes referenced as “shark teeth”, was actually inspired by the imagery often found on old-school fighter jets.
