2022 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Taxi"

THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER!

After years of speculation, the mythical “Yellow Toe” Air Jordan 1 is finally making it’s way to the spotlight in late-Summer 2022.

A close relative to the “Bred Toe” and “Shattered Backboard“ Air Jordan 1 colorway that last released several years ago, this “Yellow Toe” iteration brings one of the best color-blocking schemes ever used on the classic silhouette.

I wouldn’t mind if Jordan Brand used this style of color-blocking on every AJ1 release. It’s just that good!
— @jaredxwatson

Dressed in a Taxi, Black, and Sail the upper is comprised of what looks to be a high-quality cut of tumbled leather that supposedly rivals what was found on the aforementioned “Shattered Backboard” release. The bright shade of yellow appears on the toe, heel, and outsole, while sail appears on the side-panel and and midsole.

Destined to be one of the best AJ1 colorways for the year, you can expect this sneaker to be in high-demand on release day.

The Air Jordan 1

Sneaker History

The Air Jordan 1 was originally released back in 1985 and was designed by sneaker designer, Peter Moore. Many decades after its original release, the AJ1 remains atop the list of iconic sneakers and continues to stay relevant across world borders and generations.

Used as the canvas for many of Jordan Brand’s collaborations with celebrities and fashion-designers, all forms of the Air Jordan 1 (high, mid, low") have garnered love from both seasoned sneakerheads to casual buyers and everyone in between.
