Let’s be honest, when early images of this sneaker first leaked, many of us sneaker enthusiasts hated what we saw with this sneaker. The oddly-place circles and dingy outsole just didn’t seem to sit well with many who were anticipating a less edgy design.
Strangely enough, as time has passed and I’ve been able to see clearer images of the shoe, I can say that I’m starting to become a bigger fan of the shoe’s artsy, abstract look and vibe.
Here’s the thing….
After seeing dozens of the “normal” Jordan releases every year, I think it’s refreshing to see Jordan brand continue to take risks and dare to do things differently with the help of their ole friend, Virgil Abloh.
With 2020 looking to be a BIG 30th anniversary year for the Jordan 5, I think it’s fitting that the silhouette gets an OFF-WHITE makeover, to start the year off with a bang.

Release and Resell Predictions
There’s no question that the OFF-WHITE x Nike hype has been methodically decreasing ever since the release of “The Ten” collection back in 2017-2018.
Many of the silhouettes released in 2019 especially, just haven’t captured the hearts and minds of sneakerheads like the original models did, especially the 2019 drops.
Even still, you can expect the hype around these OFF-WHITE Jordan 5s to sharply increase the closer we get to the official release date which is till unknown.
No matter how “ugly” these may be to some, hypebeasts and resellers will ensure that the supply does not meet the demand for this shoe.
With that being said, expect resell value to be quite respectable on this pair, but I’m nowhere near Chicago OFF-WHITE 1s levels, by any means.
