To celebrate its 30th birthday, the classic Air Jordan "Cardinal," which originally debuted in 1992, is making a fourth appearance here in 2022. It's no secret that this classic has always been a favorite amongst OG sneakerheads, and this fall it will look to garner the attention of newer sneaker enthusiasts as well.
Colorway, Design & Materials
Expected to be exactly identical to the original, the “Cardinal” colorway will be dressed in a White, Black, Chutney, and Cardinal Red color scheme. The upper features an all-white leather makeup with a chutney Jumpman logo on the lateral side of the ankle and pull tab. Cardinal red appears on the lining, and on the decorative accents on the midsole, followed by a Black outsole that finishes off the design.

The AJ7 featured an inner bootie made of neoprene and a geometric tongue decoration deeply influenced by West African tribal culture. Except for the ‘Olympic’ colorway, which featured Jordans’ ‘9’ jersey number from the 1992 Barcelonan Olympics, the AJ7s featured a triangle on their heels that had the ‘23’ marking.
