2023 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Skyline” Buyer's Guide

2023 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Skyline”

A polarizing sneaker to say the least, this sneaker is a clear nod to an old ad from the ‘80s. In this buyer’s guide, we’ll go over all the important details you need to know to ensure you’re fully prepared for the release.

A Creative Take On The Air Jordan 1 Set To Drop In Mid-March 2023!

Taking direct inspiration from the iconic Jordan ad below, this upcoming Air Jordan 1 release is a bright, fun, and nostalgic rendition of the classic silhouette which has dominated the retro sneaker space for the better part of the past decade. Sneakerheads that love to stand-out with their footwear, should have no problem doing so with this release.

DESIGN, COLORWAY, & MATERIALS

Featuring a white leather base, the shoe’s most notable design feature is the ‘ombre’ denim overlays appearing throughout that blend shades of orange, lilac, and blue for an asymmetrical look. For a nice touch of pop and contrast, black is used on the ankle collar, swoosh, sock liner, an laces. To complete the look, a sail midsole sits atop the black outsole.

“Skyline” AJ1 FAQs

Answers to Common Questions

  • Generally speaking, the Air Jordan 1 fits comfortably at true-to-size or maybe even a tad long.

I personally wear a US12 in most Jordan and Nike sneakers, but I opt to go down a half-size in Jordan 1s. This is mainly because I like to wear my shoes untied and I want to reduce the infamous toe-creasing that can occur when you wear your AJ1s too big.

You can check out our complete Air Jordan 1 Sizing Guide for more sizing suggestions based on your individual foot and fit preference.

  • Pre-release demand for this shoe hasn’t been too high, which suggests that this should be attainable on release day for most buyers.

With that in mind, you’ll definitely need to put in your footwork in to ensure you can cop a pair for retail.

  • Foot Locker/Champs (Worst)

For the last couple of years, it has been nearly impossible for manual buyers to cop hyped sneakers from the Footlocker and Champs websites. If you want to give it a shot, be sure to be on the site about 10-15 minutes before the queue goes live, and cross your fingers for good luck.

    Nike SNKRS app (Best)

Have your Nike SNKRS account ready to go ahead of the release by adding your payment and shipping info before the release.

    Good luck!

  • I foresee most stores carrying this shoe to release them via a raffle - whether ticket or app. I would definitely recommend that you call your local store for specific details.

Store with ‘ticket’ raffles are more prone to being rigged, so keep that in mind and focus more on digital raffles. Althought digital raffles aren’t perfect, most big name stores have better raffles systems that are ‘harder’ to game by back actors aka resellers.
