Review:

2022 Nike Air Force 1 Low "Puerto Rico"

  • Short Answer: Better Than I Expect!

I was instantly drawn to this shoe’s colorway but was unsure about how the quality would be due to it being such a long time since I had purchased a “special edition” Air Force 1.

Once they arrived I was pleasantly surprised with all aspects of the shoe, especially the leather interior which I was not expecting.

I’ve always felt like Air Force 1s ran big, but the reduced heel cushioning due to the leather interior made these feel even roomier. I usually go a half-size down from my normal Nike size (US12) but I could’ve gone down a whole size in these.

  • Short Answer: Excellent

There were no issues with the pair that I purchased, but keep in mind, that your experience may be different due to inconsistencies with Nike’s quality control measures.

I didn’t notice any loose threads or glue stains on either pair so that’s a positive.

  • Short Answer: Premium

Leather: The leather quality is a step above basic and feels softer than Nike’s general release Air Force 1 models.

Suede/Nubuck: The nubuck that makes up this sneaker’s swoosh and heel portion has pretty much the same look and feel as other Nike/Jordan Brand models.

  • Nike’s Air Force 1 model is fairly comfortable and suitable for moderate casual wear.

The midsole isn’t the softest by today’s standards, but it does provide enough cushioning for running errands and kickin’ up dust on the weekends.

  • Quick Answer: Nike SNKRS app.

This was a Nike SNKRS app release but was also available via select retailers around the US.

If you missed out on the original release, you can look to the secondary market and scoop a pair for a decent price.
