2023 Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 Retro “Pine Geen”

This March 2023 Air Jordan 4 Release Gets A Fresh Nike SB Makeover!

Many consider the Air Jordan 4 to be the “IT” Jordan silhouette these days and it’s hard to argue anything different with the recent success of the past few releases. For Air Max Month, Jordan Brand teams up with the Nike SB crew to drop a new collaborative AJ4 colorway that is destined to continue the silhouette’s hot streak.

Design, Materials, and Colorway

The Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 features an upper adorned with a white leather upper accented with a light-grey suede overlay that wraps around the shoe’s toebox. For added contrast, ‘pine green’ accents are smartly used on the silhouette’s lacewings, midsole, and back heel tab. Also included, is a prominent red Jumpman logo that appears on the white leather tongue and provides another pop of color

Moving down the shoe, the white/pine green midsole sits on a gum rubber outsole which is a nice touch to the overall design. As expected, this offering will come housed in a custom co-branded box that displays both Nike SB and Jumpman logos.

The Air Jordan 4

Sneaker History

The Air Jordan 4 was originally released back in 1989 and was another model designed by world-renowned sneaker designer, Tinker Hatfield.

The shoe dropped in four OG colorways and retailed for a steep $100 at the time. The iconic mesh netting that appeared on the side of the shoe is one of the trademark designs of the model and was used to reduce the overall weight of the shoe at Michael Jordan’s request.

Fast forward to today, and the Air Jordan 4 remains one of the most sought-after silhouettes out of the entire Jordan lineup. Used as the canvas for multiple brand and artist collaborations, the AJ4 has cemented itself in sneaker history as one of the best.
