This shoe combines a mixture of premium materials that give this shoe a premium look and feel.

The richness of the navy pigskin suede is what stands out the most, but the plushness of the mesh is noticeable as well.

Construction: NEW BALANCE 998 “WINEBERRY”

I have no real complaints with the construction of this shoe. The toe box has a nice shape and all of the stitching is clean on both shoes.

New Balance 998s are wider than most running shoes produced by Nike and Adidas, so most will be fine going true to size in this shoe.

People with narrower feet or those who prefer a more snug fit, can opt to go down a half size.

This New Balance 998 is technically a running shoe that is now being marketed as a lifestyle shoe. This makes for it being the perfect everyday shoe that you can find an excuse to wear for any occasion.

The ABZORB midsole provides a stable, comfortable ride that gets better as you wear the shoe. Plus the suede and mesh combination up top makes for a comfortable step-in feel.

Sneaker Style & Value:

wearability: NEW BALANCE 998 “WINEBERRY”

Without a doubt, I see this being heavy in my fall sneaker rotation. I’m a sucker for navy shoes, but I really love the light blue accent on the toe that really defines the shoe.

Styling this shoe will be fairly easy, but I can see how some people may find it hard to coordinate an outfit with the toebox.

pricing: NEW BALANCE 998 “WINEBERRY”

Once again, shoutout to Hibbet Sports for having a huge discount on this shoe ($79.99) which made this a shoe that was impossible to pass up.

Any Made in The USA 998 for under $100 is a superb value that should be considered regardless of if you need the shoe or not.
