The Club C Is One Of Reebok’s Best “Slept On” Sneakers!

Reebok is an established footwear brand that’s been around for decades but is currently having a tough time staying relevant in today’s competitive footwear market which is dominated by the likes of Nike, Jordan, and Adidas.

While many of the brand’s newer models struggle to get noticed, classic models like the Club-C have their fair share of loyalists, and for good reason. The shoe combines classic retro styling with high-quality materials and all-day comfort which makes it one of the better offerings at its below $100 price point.

The Quality

How Is The Craftsmanship?

At the shoe’s price point, I wasn’t expecting a whole lot in terms of craftsmanship, however, I was pleasantly surprised at how well this pair was constructed. Absolutely everything about this shoe was executed properly. All the panels were stitched cleanly and there weren’t any issues with glue stains or color staining on the suede or leather panels.

What Are The Materials like?

Suede: The light grey suede that appears around the toe of the shoe was better than I expected. It has nice nap texture and is soft to the touch. To be completely honest, it feels better than the suede found on shoes offered by just about any other brand, especially in the sub-$100 price point. Nice job, Reebok!

Leather: The suede was awesome, but the leather on the shoe is what impressed me the most. It has to be some of the softest leather I’ve felt on any athletic shoe and its arms and shoulders above what you find on popular shoes like the Nike Dunk, Nike Air Force 1, or New Balance 550.

Not only is it soft, it’s also sturdy enough to maintain the integrity of the shoe’s shape, and is what I wish was used across the industry. As far as the blue leather elements that make upv the Reebok logo, they are more of a synthetic variety that aren’t as soft, but still more than acceptable for their use in the overall design.

Foam/Nylon Tongue: The shoe’s semi-exposed foam tongue is extra thick and cushioned and is covered by a layer of nylon. To me, it’s the perfect touch that adds to the vintage feel of the shoe and provides ample comfort.

French Terry Sockliner: I like how Reebok opted for a soft terry-lined sock liner that adds to the shoe’s look and provides another element of comfort. The only downside is that the ink tends to stain your socks, so beware before you wear them.

The Comfort

How Comfortable Is The reebok club-c?

Lightweight: As soon as I got this pair on my feet, I could appreciate how lightweight they were (14.1oz.) compared to what I was expecting. Originally marketed as tennis shoes, this explains why Club-C doesn’t have the same heft as retro basketball shoes like the Nike Dunk and Air Force 1, which are much heavier.

Cushioning: The Club-C won’t blow you away with its cushioning, as it’s not as plush as a running shoe, but it offers just enough give to make it an acceptable everyday casual shoe for the office or the weekends.

Fit and Sizing

Reebok Club C Revenge “Chalk/Royal”

How Does The reebok club-c Fit?

Generally speaking, the Reebok Club C fits true-to-size and most buyers will be safe going with their most common Reebok or Nike size.

I usually wear a US12 (11.5 occasionally) in athletic shoes, and that’s what I prefer to wear in the Reebok Club C. The shoe is perfect length-wise and becomes narrow at the toe, which makes true-to-size, the perfect choice.
