Release Guide: 2022 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Stage Haze"

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Stage Haze"

These definitely aren’t the flashiest Air Jordan 1s around, but they’re certainly a pair that you could slide into any wardrobe and not skip a beat.

More Air Jordan 1 Flavor For June 2022!

For the past couple of years, sneakerheads have come to expect at least one Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG release each month. For June 2022, the trend continues with the release of the “Stage Haze” iteration, that shares a similar color-palette to the “Military Black” Air Jordan 4 that released in May 2022.

Air Jordan 1 “Stage Haze” Design Details

Featuring a simplistic color-palette that incorporates various shades of light grey, black and white throughout, this release is easily one of the more wearable Jordan 1 drops to release this year.

When it comes to the materials, the “Stage Haze” AJ1 is adorned in a combination of traditional leather on the white underlays and a special type of crackled-textured leather for the black overlays. Adding visual interest and contrast to the shoe is the grey suede panel that makes its way to the lower heel portion of the shoe.

Rounding out the final design are the black laces (pink and white also included), wings logo, and nike air tongue label that sit atop the white midsole and grey outsole. Lastly, the shoe will come housed in the traditional black and red Air Jordan 1 box we’ve all become familiar with.

Release Date and Pricing Info

The 2022 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Stage Haze" (555088-108) is scheduled to be released on June 8, 2022 on Nike SNKRS and other major retailer’s websites for $170 for adult pairs. If you’re looking for a simple, yet elegant Air Jordan 1 to add to your collection, this Air Jordan 1 should definitely be on your radar.

We don’t suspect these will be limited and impossible to get, but you should still put in some footwork to ensure you can cop a pair for retail. Check out the section below, for tips on how to cop and answers to some frequently asked questions.

“Stage Haze” FAQs

Answers to Common Questions

  • As it stands now, demand for this particular Air Jordan 1 is below average and this is shown in the pre-release resell price which is at or near retail.

Couple this with the fact that they won’t be releasing in limited quantities and you have a situation where these shouldn’t be impossible to cop on release day.

While other uncontrollable factors such as delayed store shipments and/or limited stores in your area may play a part for some, many who want a pair will get a pair.

  • For the past few Air Jordan releases, Dick’s Sporting Goods website has been the best place to cop online, however, the Air Jordan 1 “Stage Haze” isn’t showing on their release calendar.

As an alternative, I’d probably have to suggest trying Finishline.com or JDsports.com on release day if you’re looking to cop for retail.

To increase your chances of copping, we suggest visiting their releases page about 10 minutes before the drop and refresh every minute until their queue goes live.

Since demand for this shoe isn’t too crazy, manual buyers who prepare will have a decent shot at copping for retail.

  • As you probably already know, purchasing shoe’s in-store is tricky these days. Many retailers have opted for issuing pairs via their in-app raffle systems and other’s still conduct in-store ticket raffles that can easily be rigged.

While both methods are flawed, I’ve had more success using Footlocker’s (Champs & Kid’s Footlocker included) app raffle as of late.

Raffle entries will be accepted the week of the release and close 1 day before the release. Although “Ws” aren’t guaranteed, it’s the better option for most people.

  • Generally speaking, the Air Jordan 1 fits comfortably at true-to-size or maybe even a tad long.

I personally wear a US12 in most Jordan and Nike sneakers, but I opt to go down a half-size in Jordan 1s. This is mainly because I like to wear my shoes untied and I want to reduce the infamous toe-creasing that can occur when you wear your AJ1s too big.
